Parking

If you're coming to NESSIS by car, you have several options where to park.
  1. Park at a metered parking spot on Oxford Street (near the Science Center), or in Harvard Square. While relatively inexpensive, the downside to this option is that you will need to feed the meter every two hours. Also, unless you show up very early, it is often difficult to find metered spots.
  2. Park in a garage in Harvard Square. There are several lots in Harvard Square, but be aware that they are expensive. This map shows the locations of several parking lots in the vicinity. The Charles Square Garage in the Charles Hotel (1 Bennett St.) has a particularly good reputation... if money is no object.
  3. Park at the garage at Alewife Station and take the T into Harvard Square. This is an inexpensive option ($7 for the day, $2.10 each way on the T) and reasonably convenient. Some information is available online about the parking garage at Alewife station. The Harvard Square T station is only three stops on the Red Line from Alewife, about a 10 minute ride.
